STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 19TH JULY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. 

Unfortunately we did have a few non-attendances due to the weather but all teams that were not there this week have confirmed there return for the next. It is paramount all teams are at the league each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there are any problems be sure to contact your Area Manager in plenty time.

In more positive news, the game of the evening in the Premier League came as two exciting teams took each other to the very end. The victory, in the end, was for 'Rare FC' as they beat 'Oaks Ay We' 4-2. This victory leaves them 6 points behind the top of the table '50 Shades Of O'Shea' with 4 games to go. The game in question was evenly matched and if it wasn't for a sensational performance from Evan Brookes and Rio McFarlane the game would've ended differently.

Division One saw a mouth-watering set of fixtures where it was difficult to decide the game of the evening. The eventual decision was the epic 5-5 deadlock between 'Gangsters Allardyce' and 'Innocent Til Proven Gylfi' where both teams went hell for leather against each other in order to achieve the win. This game was led by the standout players with multiple hattricks being scored. Two goals is what splits the top two teams in this division but they still need to be careful of the teams behind them, who will come out on top?

Division Two saw another close game of the evening where it finished 3-2 to 'Murder On Zidane's Floor' against 'Quatford Windows' in an end-to-end game of football throughout the whole game. Zac was the difference scoring a vital brace for 'Murder On Zidane's Floor'. Four points clear of third with four games left it is in there hands if they want to get promoted to Division One for next season.

Team of the week are 'Lenton Orient' as they won their game in dominant fashion as they beat their opponents by a huge margin with all players impressing during the match, we look forward to seeing if they can replicate this in coming weeks. Next up in the charge for the top two is new team 'Yatesy VI', who will come out on top?
