A fantastic night in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected and some great games played throughout.
In the Premier league there were plenty of entertaining games with some close encounters also. The game of the evening in the Premier League was a hard fought 4-2 victory for 'Rare FC' over 'BH Darlings' with the game being a lot closer than the score line suggests. The tough battle went back and forth as the teams netted against each other in style. However 'Rare FC' pulled together to provide support for Rio McFarlane who managed to score a brace to secure the victory. We look forward to these two teams facing each other again later in the season and seeing if 'BH Darlings' can get there revenge.
In the Division One there were plenty of exciting games as the teams battled it out to continue form or pick up form in the season. The game of the evening came between 'Workplace Products FC' and 'OTR FC' the final score ended 2-2 as neither team could break the deadlock. However the close affair provided plenty of entertainment for those who played and watched. An impressive outcome for 'OTR FC' who secured the draw against the top of the table team thanks to goals from Shaun Curtis and Max. It is also a strong performance from 'Workplace products FC' as it is a solid performance to build from and continue their unbeaten record this season. Three teams now sit on the same amount of points going into game week 5.
Team of the week goes to 'Stourbridge CC' as they impressively edged a 6-5 victory over 'FC Resonance' who put up a good fight. A hattrick for Kian provided by the excellent team performance topped off the evening for 'Stourbridge CC'. With the results on the night they now sit second only on goal difference and a game against 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi' coming up next week.
