STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 21ST MARCH 2022

The latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club. 

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The Premier League game of the week saw 'Hold that FC ' up against newly promoted team 'Haven't Got A Kalou'. It was a fantastic game of high quality and fast pace throughout, but no team could pull clear in a 1-1 draw to start the season. We look forward to seeing if either team can take the win the next time they meet later in the season.

Division 1 game of the night was between 'Lenton Orient B' and 'Yatesys VI' as they battled it out to a 2-2 draw. Both teams played exepctionally well with great attacking and defensive displays. Could these teams be the ones to watch for the season ahead?

Division 2 game of the night was between new teams 'Any Holes a Goal' and 'Ballotelli-tubbies'. In a very close encounter, it was a thrilling game of football where nine goals were scored! However it was 'Any Holes a Goal' who managed to pip their opposition at the post with a 5-4 victory staking their claim for the Division 2 title for the season ahead.

Division 3 game of the night was the final game of the night as ‘Innocent Till Proven Gylfi’ drew 2-2 with ‘I Only Put Matip In’. Both teams went toe to toe doing everything they can to take a victory but the points were shared in the end. We look forward to seeing how there game plays out later in the season.

It was a Division 2 team that was team of the evening as 'Any Holes a Goal' ran out winners in their game and sit in a good position in the league after week one. They go into a game with 'Stourbridge Olympic' full of confidence but who's winning start will come to an end?
