STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 22ND FEBRUARY 22

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A brilliant night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. Unfortunately we did have one no-attendance as 'The Six Offenders' did not show for their fixture. We will be in contact with the team to confirm there return this week. It is paramount all teams are there each and every week to allow the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there is any problem please contact your Area Manager in order to see if they can help.

The Stourbridge Tuesday league was an action packed evening with entertaining games throughout. In the Premier League the best game of the evening was a close encounter between '50 Shades of O'Shea' and 'Gangstars Allardyce'. '50 Shades of O'Shea' came out 4-3 winners at the end of a very entertaining game of football which they won by a single goal thanks to MVP Mark Bellingham who scored 2 goals on the night. This is not to say that 'Gangstars Allardyce' didn't put up an excellent fight almost pulling off a great victory against an impressive side, however it wasn't to be. 

The game of the evening in Division 1 was a game which 'Stourbridge CC' won over 'OTR FC'. Despite the score line both teams played excellently showing what great talent they have on show. With a special mention to 'OTR FC' who put up an excellent fight as they settle into the league. 'Stourbridge CC' showed their experience however and were the team who came out on top with an even more impressive performance by all members of their team. 'Stourbridge CC' now sit second in the league going into game week 4 as they face 'FC Resonance' next week.

Team of the evening for gameweek three are 'Winlot Rangers' as they bounced back impressively from a heavy defeat in the previous week with a 6-1 victory over 'FC Resonance'. With this victory they now sit midtable and looking up moving forward in the season, the standout performer for them on the night with an excellent hattrick was Kevin Weston.
