All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.
A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League.
Unfortunately we did have two non attendances as both 'Springfield' and 'Goals Aloud' were not present for there fixture. 'Springfield' have already been contacted to confirm there return this week however the league will be in contact with 'Goals Aloud' to confirm the same. It is paramount all teams are present for there fixtures each and every week however if you are struggling to get a team out it is important you contact the Area Manager in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each and every week.
In more positive news, it was brilliant to welcome new team 'Workplace Products FC' and great to see them settle well into the league for their first game and fantastic win to start there time in the league. We wish them all the best moving forward!
Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Stourbridge CC' and 'Haven't Got A Kalou'. A great game that showed how close the league is as top took on bottom in a 7 goal thriller but top of the league remained undefeated with a 4-3 win over their opponents. After continuing there fine form they take on 'Gylfi Pleasures' next week, one point behind and looking to leapfrog them with a win.
Game of the night in Division One was the top of table clash between 'FC Celta' and 'S Side Bby'. A top quality game that showed the quality on offer in Division One this season but it ended with a share in the spoils as it finished 2-2. Two points clear of the rest now are these the two teams that will be promoted come the end of the season?
Team of the week for this week is the new team 'Workplace Products FC'. The standout performance of the week as they ran out 5-1 winners. Next week they face 'S Side Bby' who will give them a test of there creditials this season and see if they can start to make an imprint on the league early in there time in it.
