STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 25TH APRIL

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League.

We did have one non-attendance as ‘Swanky FC’ gave the required 7 days notice to cancel a fixture. We look forward to having them back in this coming week. 

The game of the evening in the Premier League came as two exciting teams took each other to the very limit. The victory, in the end, was for 'Lenton Orient' as they beat 'Gangsters Allardyce' 4-2. It has tightened right up at the top with four games to go as four teams are now separated by just two points, who will come out on top?

Division One saw a mouth-watering set of fixtures where it was difficult to decide the game of the evening. The eventual decision was the top-of-the-table clash that saw 6-2 win for 'Lenton Orient B' over 'Yatesys VI' where both teams went hell for leather against each other in order to achieve the win. It will be interesting to see who will take the title come the end of the season.

Division Two saw another close game on the evening where it finished 1-1 between 'Andy Pandy FC' and 'Athletic Dildao' in an end-to-end game of football throughout. A fantastic game that had everything apart from the winning goal! 'Athletico Dildao' put in a huge performance as they currently sit bottom of the division but could this creditable draw against second placed 'Andy Pandy FC' kickstart their campaign And give them the confidence to climb the table? 

Division Three had some thrilling fixtures as 'FC Resonance' played out a ten goal battle between them and 'Saka Potatoes' in which 'Saka Potatoes' won 7-3! This win for 'Saka Potatoes' puts them one point above their opponents with four games to go! How high can they go before the season ends?

The team of the week is 'Lads on Toure' for their performance against second placed 'Has Bins', we look forward to seeing if they can replicate this kind of performance in the coming final weeks of the season to secure promotion to Division Two and maybe a Division title also!
