STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 25TH JANUARY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. 

Unfortunately we did have one non attendance as 'Rare FC' were not present for there fixture due a COVID outbreak within the team, we wish them all well with recovery and look forward for the team being back next week. It is paramount all teams are present for there fixtures each and every week however if you are struggling to get a team out it is important you contact the Area Manager in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each and every week.

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Troey's Rentboys' and 'BH Darlings'. A fantastically tense game that was decided by 1 clinical finish from 'Troey's Rentboys' that meant they climbed above there opponents and out of the relegation zone just at the right time of the season. Three teams can still be relegated with one game to go and lots to play for, good luck to these three teams as we go into the last week of the season. Congratulations to '50 Shades Of O'Shea' who were crowned league champions for a 6th time and proved they are still the team to beat!

Game of the night in Division One was the game between 'The Six Offenders' and 'Milano Mob City'. A top quality game that showed the quality on offer in Division One and saw a wonderful comeback win for 'The Six Offenders' 3-1. As we are heading to the new season they will be looking to build on this form to hit the ground running when the new season starts. The title race will be going to the final day in this Division so keep your eyes peeled to see who comes out on top.

For their performance above team of the week for this week are 'Troey's Rentboys'. Having won the last two games they really have pulled themselves into a good place, next week they face 2nd placed chasing 'Is It Half Time Yet?', can they do what they need to do to stay up? The four games in the Premier Division all have something riding on it next week so we look forward to seeing who comes out on top at both ends of the table.
