STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 25TH MAY 22

The latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The evening in the Premier Division provided some excellent footballing entertainment. The highlight of the evening and game of the evening was a 2-0 victory for 'Who Ate All Depays' over 'Troeys Rentboys' in a win that was extremely hard fought. This game was a tough game of football for both teams as they displayed great team efforts which explains why the game finished so close. The difference between the two sides were goals for Blaine Hodgetts and Ben Gainham. As 'Who Ate All Depays' go into week three of the season they will be looking to build on this result and with how close it looks after two weeks it will be interesting to see who will be chasing the title this season.

Our game of the evening in Division One was a 2-1 win for 'Haven't Got A Kalou' over 'Innocent Til Proven Gylfi' as both teams pushed themselves right to the limits to try and gain the two points and build points for the campaign ahead. The two goals from 'Haven't Got A Kalou' came from Ryan Wilkes and Reece Haynes and they were pivotal in the victory on the night. After finishing so close to promotion last season can they go one better this?

Finally, the team of the evening for this week is given to 'The Six Offenders' as they beat their opposition 'Stourbridge Olympic' to maintain their unbeaten start and sit at the top of the division. Only conceding 3 goals in 2 games whilst also contributing 17 goals against their opponents is a great start, are they the ones to watch in Division One?

Although the league is full there is a NEW DIVISION starting at the league on Tuesday 14th June 2022! Sign up today to the Stourbridge Tuesday League and be a part of the best 6-a-side leagues in your area and we can get you started as early as next week!
