STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 2ND MAY

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The game of the evening in the Premier League was a tight game between 'The Galacticos' and 'Any Chance' as a tight affair saw nine goals scored and a great comeback to take the win. In a league where anybody can beat anybody it was a great game to watch and saw 'The Galacticos' come away with the 5-4 win in the end. As we go into the final three weeks of the season it is all very close and the title is still up for grabs, who will come out on top?

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye has to be the clash between 'Gary Neville is a Legend' and 'Lenton Orient B'. Two very evenly matched teams that have been terrific this season, but it was league leaders 'Lenton Orient B' who were able to come away with the win in the end 3-2. Congratulations will be in order next week if they can avoid defeat as that will confirm them for a top two finish for this season, will they take the title as well?

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 2-1 win for 'Stourbridge Olympic' over 'Any Holes a Goal'. A great game where both teams fought tooth and nail for the win and three goals scored but the leagues top team were able to come away with the win and continue to have not lost a point this season. Congratulation's to 'Stoubridge Olympic' as with this result they have confirmed they will be playing Division One football next season, don't lose next week and they will be champions too, can they do it when they face second placed 'Andy Pandy FC'?

Division Three game of the night was between 'FC Resonance' and 'I Only Put Matip In' as they played out a very high energy and fast paced game. It was 'I Only Put Matip In' who came away with the 3-1 win in the end meaning they climb above there opponents into 4th. The top two in this division can confirm promotion next week if they avoid defeat in there games so good luck to them.

Team of the week is given to 'The Galacticos' as they were clinical in their game against 'Any Chance' to go top of the Premier League in the game mentioned above. In a very tight Premier League 3 points splits top of the league and relegation so every game counts from hear to the end of the season.
