A fantastic night 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with some really entertaining games throughout.
We did have one non-attendance as 'BH Darlings' gave in the required 7 days notice to cancel a fixture and are back to the league next week, we look forward to seeing them back in action.
It was brilliant to welcome new team 'The Six Offenders' and great to see them settle well into the league for their first game as they ran Division One league leaders 'FC Celta' very close. We wish them all the best moving forward!
Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Haven't Got A Kalou' and 'Is It Half Time Yet?'. After a great start to the season 'Is Half Time Yet?' have dropped in form and were looking to bounce back against a 'Haven't Got a Kalou' side who were unlucky to not yet have a point to the name. In a fantastic end to end game it was 'Haven't Got A Kalou' who came out on top. They will look to continue there new winning run as they go into a game against '50 Shades Of O'Shea' next week.
Game of the week in Division One was the game between 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi' and 'Rare FC'. Although the lowest scoring game of the week in this division it could have been so much more as this end to end game saw 'Rare FC' come out on top 1-0. 'Rare FC' now go into a game against one of the top two, 'S Side Bby' in high spirits as they look to continue there impressive start to the season.
Team of the week for this week has to be 'Gylfi Pleasures' after an impressive 7-2 win over 'Stourbridge CC' in order to inflict there opponents first defeat of the season and are now only 2nd on goal difference. With confidence high and them improving every week they take on 'Is It Half Time Yet?' and will be looking to go top at the halfway stage of the season.
