STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 31ST MAY 2022

The latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club. 

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected. It was brilliant to welcome two new teams to the league 'Murder On Zidane's Floor' and 'Lenton Orient' as the third pitch got underway ready for the new division. They both put in very good displays and with two weeks to go until the new division starts will be looking to gain valuable experience before the big kick off.

The Premier Division provided plenty of great entertainment for all that played and spectated the Premier Division game of the evening came between 'Rare FC' and 'Bespoke Ballers' as the game finished 4-2 with both teams battling it outright to the end where neither team was willing to give up the 2 points. It was, however 'Rare FC' who came out victors in this tenacious game where MVP Rio McFarlane scored a hattrick. Next up is a tough test against 'Who Ate All Depays', who will come out on top?

Division One also provided a great watch, especially the stalemate between 'OTR FC' and 'The Six Offenders' where the final score ended 7-7 as the teams traded blow after blow in search of the victory, despite this nobody could break the deadlock. The MVP for the game was Jacob Williams after he bagged 4 goals and kept his place at the top of the goal scoring charts. The league very much looks forward to seeing them face each other again later in the season.

The team of the evening for this week is 'Is It Half Time Yet?' as they beat 'Twinkle Toes' in superb fashion defending with great shape and also attacking with potency to ensure they finished off their opponents in style. There were also two players who managed to score 4 goals these were Joshua and James Thompson who both deserved the MVP award. Can they take this form into there rivalry against '50 Shades Of O'Shea' next week?
