STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 3RD MAY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club. 

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The Premier Division kicked off with excellent contests throughout the evening. The game of the evening however came between the top of the league 'Rare FC' and 'Is It Half Time Yet?'. The game was brilliantly contested between the two teams as both gave great accounts of themselves and their footballing abilities. Despite the excellent game, it was the favourites' 'Rare FC' who came out victorious with a 3-0 win thanks to a brace from Evan Brookes. This means they go into the winner takes all game next week against '50 Shades Of O'Shea' in fine form, who will be this seasons champions.

The game of the evening in Division 1 saw underdogs 'innocent Till Proven Gylfi' take on league leaders 'Workplace Products FC' in a thriller of a game which saw the underdogs narrowly lose 2-1. 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi' however showed that they can compete with the very best in the division and hopefully can continue this form. Congratulations to 'Workplace Products FC' who with this result have not only secured promotion for next season but have been crowned Division One champions.

The team of the week is given to 'Bespoke Ballers' as they ran out winners against 'I Only Put Matip In'. With this excellent team win we look forwarding to seeing how much potential they have as the new season is fast approaching. The highlight of the evening was the 3 goals scored by Andy Dennis in a brilliant individual display.
