A fantastic night 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. Unfortunately, we did have one non-attendance on the night as 'Twinkle Toes' were not present for their fixture. The league will be in contact with the team to confirm their return next week. It is paramount all teams are at the league each week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if you are having any problems, please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
In more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Gangsters Allardyce' and 'Who Ate All Depays'. A fantastic end to end game that saw league leaders 'Gangsters Allardyce' come out 2-0 winners. Halfway through the season and one point clear at the top can the league leaders keep it going into the second half of the season.
It was the game between 'Oaks Ay We' and 'Kford Sporting' who played the game of the night in Division One. A top-quality game that saw both teams fight tooth and nail for the win, but it was 'Kford Sporting' that came away with the 4-3 win. With this result they keep the pressure on the top two and will be looking to keep this good form up going into the second half of the season.
Division Two game of the night saw 'Lads on Toure' take on 'OTR FC'. Two evenly matched teams looking to climb the table ready for the second half of the season, but it was 'Lads on Toure' coming out on top on this occasion 2-1. Now on the same points as the team they just beat can they look to upset the apple cart at the top when they take on undefeated league leaders 'Lenton Orient' next week?
'Troey's Rentboys' are our team of the week this week as they ran out 3-0 winners against a very good 'Rare FC' team. With only one loss this season they will feel a bit unlucky to be third at the halfway stage but will look to continue this fine form in the second half of the season to challenge for the top two in the final seven games.
