STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 5TH APRIL 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club. 

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

The Premier League saw lots of entertainment as teams went head to head in some exciting contests. The game of the week was a thriller, which led to a victory for 'Troeys Rentboys' inspired by Joe Caneen with 2 goals in a game which finished 3-1. The game was full of end to end football however it was the defence of 'Troeys Rentboys' which secured their victory over 'Who Ate All Depays' who could unfortunately not find a way through. With five games to go and sitting in fourth 'Troey's Rentboys' will be looking for the best possible finish to the season in order to finish as high as they can.

Division 1 was also very well contested as the teams pushed to get important wins. The game of the week was a win for 'The Six Offenders' as they pushed back from their defeat last week to defeat 'Innocent Till Proven Gylfi'. The game was played to a very high standard and clear cut chances were very limited however it was 'The Six Offenders' who pulled off the significant 2-0 win over their nearest competitors. Next up for them is the unenviable task of trying to give top side 'Workplace Products FC' there first defeat of the season.

The team of the week was extremely difficult to choose from due to the amount of excellent performances. However, it is given too 'Haven't Got A Kalou' as they continued their excellent form as they are continuing to keep up with current leaders 'Workplace Products FC' with just two points separating the two teams, this week they ran out 4-1 winners over 'FC Resonance'. We look forward to seeing how they both end the season and see who comes out on top and is promoted to the Premier Division.
