All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

Unfortunately we did have one incident on the night as a player from 'Any Holes a Goal' was sent from the field of play after being foul and abusive to the referee on the night. The player in question has been fined £20 and banned from the league permanently as it is not the first time this has happened with the player in question. It is important that all players in the league follow the rules set out at all times, if this does not happen it will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each and every time.

In more positive news, it was great to welcome new team 'BdEx Boys' who were very impressive in there first game at the league, we wish them all the best moving forward in the league!

The game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Lenton Orient' and 'Any Chance'. A fantastically tense game that saw each team pushed to the limit. Although 'Lenton Orient' came away with the 2-1 win in the end, they are in for some stiff competition this season and we look forward to seeing how it all pans out.

Game of the night in Division 1 was the game between 'Six Offenders FC' and 'Gangsters Allardyce'. A top-quality game that showed the quality on offer in Division One and saw a wonderful fighting performance by 'Gangsters Allardyce' to earn the win. With how tight this division looks it will be interesting to see how the season looks come the end of the season.

Division 2 game of the week was the game between ‘Pena FC’ and ‘Lads On Toure’. Two evenly matched teams that ran each other close throughout and worked hard for the win however neither team could grasp the victory as the game ended 1-1. Another interesting one to see if either of these two teams can gain the win next time they meet.

The Division 3 game of the night was between 'FC Resonance' and 'Innocent Til Proven Gylfi'. A closely contested game between two teams that know each other well and that could barely be separated as 6-goals were scored and the points going to 'FC Resonance' in a 4-2 victory. Who will come out on top when the two teams meet again later in the season?

Top of Division One after week two are our team of the week 'Lenton Orient B'. A convincing win over their opponents as they beat 'Stourbridge Olympic'! How will they fair for the season ahead.
