STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 7TH DECEMBER 2021

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for.

Unfortunately we did have one incident in the game between 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi' and 'Springfield'. In an incident that happened as the game ended Luca from 'Innocent Until Proven Glyfi' and a few players from 'Springfield' were involved in a few unsavoury scenes that are not welcome at any league that is run through leisure leagues. As 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi' have not had any issues previously at the league and Luca was acting alone in the situation in question he has been fined £20 and banned from the league for two weeks. Three players from 'Springfield' were involved in the incident and were already warned about conduct at the league in previous games so the league has had no choice but to remove the team from the league with immediate effect and fine them the same amount as the player from the opposition. I know this opens a space in the league but it is paramount that all situations like this are dealt with quickly and effectively in order for the league to run at the best it can, any other situations that arise in future will be dealt with in the same way each time so please remain within the rules each and every week.

In more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'BH Darlings' and 'Troey's Rentboys'. The top two of Division One last season played out a cracker that 'BH Darlings' won in the end 4-3. The Premier Division is finely poised as 5 points splits the whole league going into the second half of the season following the results on Tuesday, who will be champions and who will be relegated come the end of the season?

Some brilliant throughout Division One but it was the game between new team 'Rare FC' and 2nd placed 'S Side Bby' who played out the game of the night. They may have started late but 'Rare FC' are well in the title hunt now as they closed the gap to there opponents down to one point in a 2-1 win. With both the top two losing this week it will be interesting to see how Division One plays out as well, it looks like its going to be just as tight as the Premier Division with half the season still to go.

Team of the week for this week has to be for the shock result and brilliant performance from 'Haven't Got A Kalou'. Been in all the games they have played this season and unlucky in a few of them but not this one as they beat top of the league 7-1. Meaning they go into the game next week against 'Gylfi Pleasures' having beaten two of the top three with the third of those teams being their opponents next week, can the keep the win streak going?
