STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 8TH MARCH 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected. It was also great to welcome new team 'Who Ate All Depays' to the league as they managed to get a very respectable draw in their first game as shown below. Best of luck to them for the remainder of the season!

The Premier League once again showed the talent within the league, and how competitive it can be. There were plenty of exciting games to choose a game of the week from, however the 1-1 draw between 'Who Ate All Depays' and 'Is It Half Time Yet' was the best of the lot. Despite the game ending in deadlock the game was exciting as both teams pushed each other to the limit but neither side could grab the winner. It was a great attacking and defensive display from both sides all working together throughout the entire game. The replay of this fixture later on in the season could be crucial to determine where both of these teams finish in the league table.

Division 1 also provided plenty of entertainment as plenty of goals were scored back and forth between teams. The highlight game of the evening however saw 'The Six Offenders' beat 'OTR FC' 4-3 in a nail biter of a game where neither the players nor spectators could predict which way the game would go. It was 'The Six Offenders' who managed to come away with the victory having played exciting football throughout the game with plenty of attacking prowess to be the pivotal winning factor. The spearhead of the attack was Jacob Williams having scored 4 goals to get the win. 

Team of the week for game week 5 is given to Premier Division leaders 'Rare FC' as they beat 'Gangsters Allardyce' 3-1 in a very entertaining game. 5 wins from 5 means they top the league going into week six and are looking good value for there league position. Can they continue this fine form as the halfway stage of the season nears?
