STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 9TH MAY

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of very entertaining games of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected.

Unfortunately we did have one incident on the night as a player from 'Any Chance' was sent from the field of play after being foul and abusive to the referee on the night. The player in question has been fined £20 and banned from the league for two weeks for his actions. It is important that all players in the league follow the rules set out at all times, if this does not happen it will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each and every time.

In more positive news, it was great to welcome new team 'Charva FC' who were very impressive in there first game at the league, we wish them all the best moving forward in the league!

The game of the evening in the Premier League was the tight game between 'Lenton Orient ' and 'Any Chance' as three goals flew in, and some fantastic chances were created throughout. It was 'Lenton Orient' who opened the gap on their opponents with a 2-1 win in the end meaning the player down cost them in the end. With two weeks to go two points separate the top four, who will come out on top come the end of the season?

Division One also had plenty of exciting games, however the game that caught the eye was the 2-1 victory for 'Swanky FC' against new team 'Charva FC'. A top-quality division summed up by a game like this as both teams fought tooth and nail on the night with the new season fast approaching. Can 'Charva FC' put another great display in next week when they face 'Gary Neville is a Legend'?

Division Two's game of the evening resulted in a 3-3 draw between two of the divisions heavyweights in top two 'Stourbridge Olympic' and 'Andy Pandy FC' where either team could have taken the win. In an end-to-end game nothing could split the two but both showed the quality they will bring to the next season. Can 'Andy Pandy FC' join 'Stourbridge Olympic' in Division One next season after the final two games?

Division Three game of the evening was the first game of the night between 'Innocent Til Proven Gylfi' and 'Saka Potatoes'. It was 'Saka Potatoes' who came out as 3-1 winners on the night and in the process climb to third in the league. Who will win the race for third this season as we go into the final two games of the season.

The team of the week is given to 'Murder On Zidanes Floor' as they provided a dominant display as they ran out comprehensive winners on the night. They still have a great chance of winning the Premier League with just one point separating them and first place 'The Galacticos'. Who will come out on top in the final two weeks?
