Stourbridge Tuesday Football League Showcases Thrilling Matches in Week 2

The Stourbridge Tuesday Football League was back in full swing last night, delivering an action-packed evening of intense matches and outstanding performances. With teams from the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 taking the field, spectators were treated to a display of skill, determination, and exhilarating goals.

Unfortunately we did have one non-attendance in Lenton Orient, We will be in contact with them to ensure their return for next week. It is vital teams get in contact with the area manager to ensure the league runs as smoothly as possible on the night.

In the Premier League division, The Boy In Striped Wanyamas managed to edge past opponents Murder On Zidanes Floor in an exciting match where either team could have got the victory. In another tight game Hold That FC beat Two Goals One Cup 1-0 in a game where both teams were defensively solid it was Hold That FC who managed to squeeze the decisive goal. The Galacticos also managed to get their first win of the season after a well drilled victory over Inter The Gate where the final score was 4-2. 

Division 1 witnessed contested matches, with Swanky FC edging past Gangsters Allardyce 2-1 as they make it two wins from two this season. Whilst Yatesy's VI fell to defeat against a strongly fielded BDEX Boys where they took control and continued an excellent attacking performance. 

Division 2 saw an exciting night with sensational games being played out. Growler Out FC managed to see off Gary Neville Is A Legend 3-1 with both teams having highlights to take from the game. Meanwhile, Innocent Till Proven Gylfi displayed their dominance, triumphing over Fenny Football Club with a resounding 6-2 victory. Fake Madrid got their first win of the season against Saka Potatoes 5-1 after drawing in the previous week. 

In Division 3, Mals Tav Athletic  produced an extraordinary performance, defeating Any Holes A Goal 6-0 in with an emphatic victory. While Stourbridge Olympic enjoyed their return to the league with a 4-0 victory over I Only Put Matip In who will be looking to find some form next week in the league.

The team of the week is given to Stourbridge Olympic due to their exceptional return to the league winning comfortably. Next week they face Genoa- Cide which will be an exciting clash between two teams with the same points.
