Stourbridge Tuesday Football League Delivers Thrilling Week 3 Matches
Stourbridge, 22/8/23 - The Stourbridge Tuesday Football League saw another exciting week of action, as teams battled it out in four divisions: Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3. With several standout performances and impressive goals, the league showcased the sheer passion and skill of its players.
Unfortunately we did have an incident on the night in the game between Growler Out FC and Goobz FC. A player from Growler Out FC decided to put his hands on a referee during the second half of the game and was sent from the field of play. The player in question has been fined £50 and permanently banned from the league. This type of behaviour is not welcome at any of our leagues and will always be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.
We also had two non-attendances on the night as Lads on Toure and Unbelievable Tekkers were not present for their fixtures. Both have confirmed their returns next week. It is paramount all teams are present each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week. If there are any issues getting your team out please ensure you contact your area manager in plenty of time in order to assist in any way they can.
In more positive news, In the Premier League, Hold That FC showcased their dominance with a resounding 4-0 victory over Swanky FC. Meanwhile, Murder On Zidanes Floor and Lenton Orient engaged in an intense goal-fest, with the former emerging victorious with an 8-5 scoreline.
In Division 1, Balotelli-Tubbies showed their quality with a 4-2 victory over Six Offenders FC. Two Goals One Cup were also in fine form, securing a convincing 4-0 win against Yatesys VI. Gangsters Allardyce demonstrated their prowess with a 3-1 triumph over Fenny Football Club.
Division 2 witnessed some closely fought battles. BdEx Boys emerged victorious with a hard-fought 2-0 win against HAS Bins. Growler Out FC and Goobz FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw barring the incident above, while Gary Neville Is A Legend displayed their dominance with a 4-1 victory over FC Resonance.
In Division 3, Innocent Till Proven Gylfi and Saka Potatoes fought tooth and nail, resulting in a thrilling 2-2 draw. I Only Put Matip In secured a well-deserved 4-2 win against Genoa-cide.
Team of the week this week is Two Goals One Cup with a great performance against Yatesy VI on the night and unbeaten to start the season in Division One. Can they stay unbeaten when they face Six Offenders FC this week?
