In the first week of the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side Football League, football enthusiasts were treated to an array of exhilarating matches across the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3. The season promises to be a thrilling one with the teams already showcasing impressive performances.

We did also have one incident on the night that meant a player from Inter The Gate carded for unsporting behaviour and dissent. The player been fined £20 and a 1 week ban from the league in order to learn from the issue on the night. Please ensure you are following league rules and respecting everyone to do with the league each and every week in order to avoid this happening with your team, it will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each time.We did also have one disciplinary issue which has been dealt with, we ensure all teams that we are the most disciplined Leagues in the area. 

In the coveted Premier League, Hold That FC edged out Murder On Zidanes Floor 3-2 in a tightly contested match. Meanwhile, The Boy In Striped Wanyamas asserted their dominance over Inter The Gate with a 4-1 victory. However, the evening's highlight was the performance from Two Goals One Cup, leading the teams  5-1 triumph over The Galacticos.

In Division 1, the standout match saw BdEx Boys squeeze past Goobz FC with a 1-0 win where both sides pushed each other to the limit. Lenton Orient, put in an exceptional team performance as they made the most of their opportunities against Gangsters Allardyce, winning 4-0. Yatesys VI also started the season on a high, registering a 2-1 victory over Swanky FC.

Division 2 saw a thrilling 3-3 draw between Fake Madrid and Gary Neville Is A Legend, as both teams showed excellent attacking prowess but neither side could break the deadlock. Growler Out FC swept aside Fenny Football Club 3-0 despite their best efforts Growler Out's attack proved too strong. However, the division's highlight was Marcelo's five-goal haul for Innocent Till Proven Gylfi, which resulted in an 8-0 victory over Saka Potatoes.

Finally, in Division 3, Any Holes A Goal were defeated by Genoa-cide, going down 1-4 where both sides showed what they were capable of. Mals Tav Athletic, put in an sensational show of dominance beating their opposition I Only Put Matip in comfortably. 

The team of the week is given to Two Goals One Cup after a sensational opening performance in the league. An all round great team display ensured their victory and put them top of the league, facing Hold That FC next week will be an interesting challenge after their strong performance also.


With the inaugural week promising such intense competition and individual brilliance, this season of Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side Football League is sure to keep its fans on the edge of their seats.
