In a thrilling week of football, the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side league saw some action-packed encounters in its third week of the season. The competition was fierce across all divisions including Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.
We did also have one incident on the night that meant a player from BdEx Boys red carded for violent conduct because of a punch thrown. The player has been fined £50 and permanently banned from the league in order to learn from the issue on the night. In addition to this a player from Swanky FC had also been red carded due to violent conduct pushing a player to the neck/ head area. The player has been handed a £20 fine and 2 week ban to learn from their mistakes. Please ensure you are following league rules and respecting everyone to do with the league each and every week in order to avoid this happening with your team, it will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each time.
On a more positive note in the Premier League, The Galacticos displayed their dominance with a 2-0 victory over Hold That FC. They remained composed and established a lead which Hold That FC could not overcome. While Two Goals One Cup scored a remarkable 4-2 win against The Boy In Striped Wanyamas. The thrilling game went end to end with both teams chasing the win. The match between Murder On Zidanes Floor and Inter The Gate ended in a goalless draw where neither side could break the deadlock!
In Division 1, BdEx Boys were victors over Swanky FC with a 3-0 win. Lenton Orient just edged out Yatesys VI in a 3-2 thriller. With thrilling end to end football it was difficult to tell who the victor was going to be. However, the highlight of the division was undoubtedly the 6-3 victory of Goobz FC over Gangsters Allardyce, with Goobz FC running riot in attack!
In Division 2, Innocent Till Proven Gylfi narrowly defeated Fake Madrid 1-0 in a very tight game with both teams showing excellent footballing ability. Gary Neville Is A Legend and Fenny Football Club shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw where neither side could break the deadlock.
In Division 3, powerhouse Any Holes A Goal provided a competent performance over I Only Put Matip In a 4-1 victory both teams have highlights to take away from the game however as the season continues I Only Put Matip in may look back on this result. Mals Tav Athletic romped to a resounding 6-0 win over HAS Bin Lions as they continue their spectacular unbeaten streak. Genoa-cide eked out a narrow 1-0 victory over Stourbridge Olympic.
The team of the week is Mals Tav Athletic thanks to a spectacular team victory winning 6-0 over their opponents. They also remain top of the division unbeaten after 3 games. Next week they face third placed Genoa-Side which will be an interesting encounter.
