In the thrilling world of local football, the first week of the Stourbridge Tuesday 6 a side Football league kicked off with a bang, under the floodlights last night.

In the Premier League, The Boy In Striped Wanyamas secured an exhilarating 5-3 victory over Yatesys VI. The match was a testament to the high level of football to be expected throughout the season. In other matches, Swanky FC and Goobz FC couldn't break their deadlock with the final scoreline being 1-1. Growler Out FC also managed to turn the table with a cool and composed 2-0 victory over The Galacticos. 

Meanwhile, in Division 1, Salt N Vinegar put in a spectacular performance as they beat Innocent Till Proven Gylfi. Mals Tav Athletic and Murder On Zidanes Floor also took it to the wire in a 1-1 draw. 

In Division 2, a tightly contested match saw Fake Madrid edge past Six Offenders with a 2-1 win. A spectacular draw also ensured a point for both sides as Gangsters Allardyce and Has Bins Lions drew 3-3.

Finally, in Division 3, spectators were treated to a goal fest as Any Holes A Goal outscored Drinking Team With A Football Problem 6-5 in a high-scoring thriller.  Gary Neville Is A Legend also pipped West Midlands United F.C. at the post with a 3-4 victory. 

The team of the week is Any Holes A Goal thanks to their endeavour and determination to beat Drinking Team With A Football Problem. Next week they face West Midlands United FC can they continue this form throughout the rest of the season?
