TIGHT CONTESTS IN TONIGHTS TUESDAY LEAGUE

Tuesday League-

We welcomed back the Stourbridge Tuesday League teams with a night packed full of entertainment and goal-scoring. We had some action-packed games which was a joy to watch. Welcoming new team 'S Side Bby' to the league with a very impressive result in their first game.

Unfortunately we did have one incident in the game between 'FC Celta' and 'Stourbridge Olympic'. Taylor Booth of 'Stourbridge Olympic' decided to react badly to an opponent during the game and was sent from the field of play. He has now been fined £20 for his actions and as this is not his first incident at the leagues he has now been permanently banned. It is paramount that all situations like this are dealt with quickly and effectively in order for the league to run at the best it can, any other situations that arise in future will be dealt with in the same way each time so please remain within the rules each and every week.

Premier Division-

The Premier Division kicked off with a well-disciplined performance from ‘Gangsters Allardyce’ in a 2-1 victory over second-place ‘Is it Half Time Yet’ it was Michael Price who stood out as MVP in the team’s great team win. Not only was this game of the week in the Premier Division  but deservedly gains ‘Gangsters Allardyce’ team of the week. The second game in the Premier Division showed ‘Stourbridge CC’ in rampant form beating ‘Goals Aloud’ 6-1 including 4 goals from Jake Brigdale.

In the third game of the evening, we saw a close encounter between ’50 Shades of O’Shea’ against ‘Real Madras’ where the score line did not reflect the performance from the losing side however 50 Shades of O’Shea’ won 5-1 with braces from MVP Ryan Goodman and Danny Campbell. The final game of the Premier Division was a big 5-2 win for ‘Gylfi Pleasures’ over ‘Haven’t Got A Kalou’ where Josh Thomas scored 4 goals and was MVP in a very good performance.

Division One-

Division One also had a great set of fixtures which showed off the talent in both leagues. The first game of Division One began in a closely contested win for ‘FC Celta’ over ‘Stourbridge Olympic’ where both teams gave it their all to try and gain the result they wanted. However, it was goals from Ste Cater and Josh Cater which secured the win. The second game of the division was even closer where only one goal from ‘Who ate all Depays’ could secure the win for them against ‘BH Darlings’ from Ed Richardson. The third game of the evening was also only split by one goal where ‘Winlot Rangers’ beat ‘Troey’s Rentboys’ 2-1 to gain a credible victory over the league leader, two points now splits five teams with five games to go. The final game was a nine-goal thriller in which newcomers' S Side Bby’ beat ‘See You Next Tuesday’ 6-3 with a hattrick coming from Reece Pincher. This game is also awarded game of the week for Division One for the quality displayed from both sides.
