Sunday 23rd November - Stroud Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Stroud Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions, the only exception being a late cancellation from Red Men who we look forward to seeing back.

Let's kick off with the Premier League. Sand FC went up against Randwick Warriors, where the latter claimed victory with a 2-0 score. This match was a testament to the Warriors' defensive solidity and clinical finishing. However, the star of the day was Carwen from SAS FC who, despite being part of a fiercely contested match against The Old Badgers, managed to net two goals for his team. SAS FC secured a narrow win with a 2-1 scoreline, largely thanks to Carwen's exceptional performance.

Over in Division 1, the competition was equally intense. Hanging By A Fred couldn't manage to score against Blackandwhitearmy, succumbing to a 1-0 defeat. Meanwhile, The Disciples and House Of Dragsiun battled to a 3-3 draw in a nail-biting encounter. Zack Marshfield stole the show with a hat trick for House Of Dragsiun, positioning himself as the top scorer for the week in Division 1. Sink Males FC, on the other hand, demonstrated their dominating prowess with a 6-0 triumph over Maradona Kebab.

As we move to Week 8, fans and players alike will be looking forward to more electrifying performances and intense competition. Teams will have to reassess their strategies and come back stronger in the coming week. After all, the football league is not just about winning, it's about passion, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
