Sunday 24th August - Stroud Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Stroud Sunday 6 a side league this week, with the only disappointment being a non-attendance from House of Dragsuin who failed to notify us and have as a result been removed from the league.

We welcome new team Pathetico Madrid to the league as a replacement for the above, and wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Sunday 31st August.

In the Premier League division, SAS LTD showed their dominance with a decisive 4-1 victory over The Old Badgers. Displaying a stellar performance in both defense and offense, the SAS LTD team burned their way through the field, setting an example of exceptional teamwork and skill.

However, the match that had everyone on edge was between Randwick Warriors and Chiellini Con Carne, with the latter emerging victorious with a 4-3 scoreline. The game was a neck and neck contest with both sides showing great resilience, but Chiellini Con Carne edged past the Warriors in a thrilling finish that encapsulates the spirit of the Stroud Sunday League.

However, the shock of the night came as Red Men FC lost 3-2 to Sand FC, despite a phenomenal performance from their top scorer, Callum, who netted two impressive goals. Callum continues to shine as top scorer in the Premier League division and remains a formidable force that teams need to watch out for.
