Sunday 29th March - Stroud Round-Up

Another good evening's football was enjoyed in the Stroud Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance apart from Goal Diggers who've now been removed and replaced with new team The Smurfs who join us next time we run.

PLEASE NOTE THE LEAGUE IS CANCELLED ON SUNDAY 5TH APRIL AS THE VENUE IS CLOSED DUE TO EASTER.  WE RETURN AS NORMAL ON SUNDAY 12TH APRIL AS PER THE FIXTURES LISTED ONLINE.

In the Premier League, the evening was highlighted by high-scoring games and strong individual performances. A standout match saw Chiellini Con Carne secure a dominant 5-0 victory over Blackandwhitearmy. Defence was the key to their strategy, not allowing a single goal throughout the game, and they appear to be a team to watch this season.

However, the highest-scoring match of the evening was between Sink Males FC and Sand FC. The final result was a comprehensive 8-3 victory for Sink Males FC, a result that was undoubtedly a team effort, but also displayed some excellent individual play.

In the Premier League, the standout performer this week was Randwick Warriors' Finn. The talented forward netted a total of three goals in a commanding 6-1 win against The Old Badgers, making him the top scorer in the Premier League for the week.

On the Division 1 front, The Disciples managed a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Maradona Kebab. The game was an evenly matched contest, and both teams delivered exciting performances. SAS FC had a great night with a 6-3 win over Red Men Fc, owing largely to some terrific individual performances.

Carwen of SAS FC was the standout player in Division 1, scoring a total of 2 goals, and earning the top scorer spot for the week. His performance was crucial in driving his team to victory.
