Sunday 8th February - Stroud Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Stroud Sunday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance except 'Hanging By a Fred' who were a late cancellation, but return to action on Sunday 15th February.

In the Premier League, the game of the night was undoubtedly Chiellini Con Carne vs SAS FC. Chiellini Con Carne edged their opponents in a nail-biting encounter, with the final score being 2-1. Sink Males FC, on the other hand, ran riot against Sand FC, winning the game with a staggering 7-0 victory. This match showcased Sink Males FC's attacking prowess and could be a sign of their dominance in the forthcoming weeks. Premier League's top scorer title was bagged by Liam from Sink Males FC, who contributed two of the seven goals for his team, illustrating his vital role in their success.

Turning our attention to Division 1, there were some equally thrilling matches with Blackandwhitearmy securing a solid 4-1 victory over The Disciples. The most exciting match of the division was The Old Badgers vs Red Men FC. In a high-scoring encounter, Red Men FC narrowly scraped a victory with a 6-5 win. An evenly contested match between House Of Dragsiun and Maradona Kebab ended in a 2-2 draw, showing the closely matched competition in this division. Fred from Blackandwhitearmy stood out as he went on a scoring spree, netting three goals to become the top scorer in Division 1.
