A new season of the Dudley Monday Football League kicked off last night with thrilling matches in both Premier League and Division 1. The five-a-side matches delivered an exciting start to the season, offering sports lovers a reason to cheer.

There was an incident on the night during the game between Gearings Girls FC and Tired Dads FC ,where a player from Gearings Girls FC was sent from the field of play for abuse towards the referee and has been fined and banned accordingly for his actions. These incidents will be dealt with swiftly every time they happen by our Area Manager to make sure the league is a safe place to be for all the teams and staff. 

We also have a team hand in their 7 days notice to cancel for this week and next, we look forward to welcoming back Keepers Fault FC for in two weeks time!

In the Premier League division, Shed United FC made a striking win against Underdawgs FC with a score of 4-2. However, the show-stopper was the face-off between Tired Dads FC and Gearings Girls FC. Tired Dads FC emerged victorious with a score of 6-3. The shocking highlight of the Premier League was the game between Inter Yer Nan and Punjab X Dabba, with the latter dominating the field with a whopping victory.

In Division 1, the competition also heated up. The Dudley Dons FC won against Bowl FC with a score of 4-2. Cannon Bolt FC emerged victorious against Rock Lobster with a narrow margin of 4-3. However, the highlight of Division 1 was Flabby United's landslide victory over Diddys Dream with a big score.

With the season just starting, football fanatics are keenly anticipating the upcoming matches. Will the top scorers maintain their positions? Only time will tell. The Dudley Monday Football League promises an exhilarating season, packed with thrilling games and outstanding performances.
