Play in the Sedgley Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
In an exiting week of the Sedgley Cup competition we dive into all the action from across the groups. Who came out on top? Who’s looking confident? Let’s find out!
Unfortunately we did have a DNA on the night as La Masala were not present for their fixture. We will contact La Masala and confirm their return to the league next week. It is paramount all teams are present for there fixtures each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible, if there are any issues please be sure to contact your area manager.
In better news, in Group A, Underdawgs FC faced off with the in form AFC Gornal who were searching for yet another win. However Underdawgs started fast and came right at the Gornal side who looked a bit uneasy to start with, however as the game went on AFC Gornal grew into the match and showed their quality scoring some really well taken goals and defeating the Underdawgs who made it really difficult. A great game to start the night.
In another thrilling encounter in Group A The Old Tigers paired off with Underdawgs who where playing their second game of the night. Underdawgs fresh off another game looked quite leggy and this took its toll in the match. The Old Tigers where showing no mercy and put their opposition to the sword. They fought till the end doing themselves the upmost credit but it was The Old Tigers win in this game.
As we move on to group B Woefulhampton Wanderers FC were looking to extend their winning run when they came up against another in form team in Out On Bale. This was an absolute cracker of a game. Plenty of goals, saves, blocks and shots. It had everyone on their toes, a credit to both teams who in recent weeks have shown their quality. Woefulhampton Wanderers FC will be pleased they came out on top in what was a tough game for both!
Rounding off the evening we saw SH Dons and Out on Bale go head to head. SH Dons with a big point to prove after a few disappointing results and they came out fighting. They showed their claws in this game and with plenty of goals in this one from both teams and a narrow end to the game saw SH Dons Claim victory, a great match to watch!
