Sedgley Monday 5-a-Side Football League saw high-spirited action in its seventh week, with exciting clashes taking place in both the Premier League and Division 1 tiers.

In the Premier League, AFC Gornal demonstrated dominance with a resounding 6-2 victory over Diddys Dream. In another high-scoring fixture, Goal Diggers beat La Masala. With this win, Goal Diggers have certainly staked their claim as one of the powerhouses in the league. SH Dons narrowly beat Woefulhampton Wanderers FC in a tightly contested match ending 5-4.

In Division 1, Johns Stoned triumphed over The Old Tigers with a close 2-1 win. As the competition intensifies in this division.

Looking forward to next week's matches, fans can expect more thrilling action as these teams battle it out on the pitch. As players continue to push their limits, spectators are in for a treat as the Sedgley Monday 5-a-Side Football League continues to deliver high-quality football.

We are delighted to announce that the pitch at The Dormston Centre has officially been confirmed as being re-laid during this years six weeks holiday. This means the league will be off from Monday 28th July 2025 till Monday 25th August 2025. As the season ends one week before the off period we will be looking to do a little cup competition to round out the bookings before the six weeks holidays with more information coming out on this in June and the NEW SEASON then starting when the pitch is done in September.

The league is now OFF for Bank Holiday Monday this week and will return Monday 2nd June 2025. We wish all players, officials and there families a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend and will see you all when we return.
