WEEKLY NEWS 10th MARCH

Good morning all,

Our new season got underway last night with some superbly close games! Looks like it is shaping up to be a competitive season!

Al Bang Ur Nan 0 - 1 Romasexuals (Jake Musto)
The first game of the brand new season saw new boys Romasexuals get off to a winning start as vice captain Jake Musto bagged the all important goal in a 1 - 0 win over James Richards and his Al Bang Ur Nan! Can the Romasexuals go on and challenge for the title from here?    


(Hakan Blackmore) Madrid 2019 1 - 3 Six Offenders (Jack Casey 2, Tom Caston)
Our other new team Madrid 2019 couldn't follow in Romasexuals footsteps as Ben Cann and his Six Offenders put in a solid all round performance to comfortably take the 3 points with a 3 - 1 win! Jack Casey the stand out performer as he bagged a brace to help his side to victory!   

(Aarron Seviour, Jason Henley, Matt Morris )Club Tropicana Drinks FC 3 - 2 Tellisford United (Warren Maidment, Charlie Barber)
The mighty Tellisford United have finally lost thier unbeaten crown in a brilliant game of football which saw Aarron Seviour and his Club Tropicana boys take an early 3 - 0 lead with help from Matt Morris and Jason Henley! Tellisford looked certain to stage a comeback as Warren Maidment and Charlie Barber pulled goals back in the second half but Tropicana were able to hold out and secure the vital win!   


(Kristian Green) Backstreet Girls 2 - 1 The Trowbridge Foxes (Dallin Toone)
Another cracking game involved the clash between BackStreet Girls and Trowbridge Foxes which saw both teams play some brilliant football in an end to end game, Kristian Green the stand out performer has he bagged a brace to ensure his side the win! Huge shoutout to Dallin Toone who scored The Foxes goal in what will be his final game with Leisure Leagues before he returns back to America! Great to have you playing with us and good luck for the future!

(Rui Santos) Tugas FC 1 - 2 Triple Trunk FC (2 Will Prentice)
The final game of the evening in our newly extended Monday night league was another close affair as Will Prentice was the stand out performer as he put in a solid all round performance in what included two goals which saw Triple Trunk looking comfortable at 2 - 0 before an excellent run and some neat footwork from Andre Filipe saw the ball break nicely for Rui Santos who slotted past the keeper to see a nervy finish on the cards! Josh Penelhum and his boys were solid enough at the back to hold out and take the points! 


Other News
As the summer approaches we have a BRAND NEW challenge for you all to take on replacing our existing CrossBar Challenge! I'll be discussing this with all our captains over the next few weeks!

Our cameraman Tom will also be out for the next few weeks after having an operation so there will be no footage of the games. Speedy recovery Tom!
