WEEKLY NEWS FOR 16th MARCH

Good morning all,

Another great night of football up John of Gaunt school with all teams in attendance! Great to see everyone keeping active and enjoying their football despite the circumstances!

(Jack Waters) Triple Trunk FC 2 v 2 Backstreet Girls (Ben Bullis)
The first game of the evening was an absolute cracker as Backstreet Girls looked in control as they took a 2 - 1 lead late on through goals by Ben Bullis! However they couldn't hold on as superstar Jack Waters pulled off his best Lionel Messi impression as he danced through the defense and slot home a neat finish! Check out the goals on our Livestream!

(Andre Filipe, Rui Santos) Tugas FC 2 - 2 Al Bang Ur Nan (Brad Daws, Kyle)
The second game saw another 2 - 2 draw and some brilliant football on display as Daniel Richards smashed an absolute rocket towards the top bin but was denied by some fantastic keeping! Cameron Price was awarded man of the match in this one as he put in a brilliant shift and showed some epic footwork to help his side claim a valuable point!

Tellisford United 3 - 1 Madrid 2019
A shaky Tellisford United looked to bounce back after not only their defeat last week but also being taken apart 10 - 0 on the weekend, star man Warren Maidment was all over the place as he missed chance after chance early on and Madrid 2019 took a surprise lead! Maidment then went on to compound Tellisford's problems as a blatant foul saw him in the bin for two minutes. Harry Ledbury was able to rally his boys and some tidy finishing eventually saw Tellisford run out 3 - 1 winners!

The Trowbridge Foxes 3 - 5 FC Club Tropicana Drinks (Aaron Seviour 4, Matt Morris)
An impressive performance from Frank Munetsi saw The Foxes push an elite looking Club Tropicana Drinks right to the wire as they took an early 3 - 1 lead, the game was end to end with solid performances throughout but ultimately it was captain Aaron Seviour who proved to be the difference as his four late goals proved enough to bag the points. The main talking point of this game was whether he should have remained on the pitch to score those goals as an heroic Tom Daley impression was left unpunished by the referee!

Six Offenders 0 - 1 Romasexuals (Jake Musto)
The final game of the evening saw Jake Musto bag his second goal in two games as he proves the number 9 on the back of his shirt is well deserved to provide Romasexuals with another 1 - 0 win! These boys look organised and will be hard to break down! Can they wrestle the title away from Tellisford? Daniel Ellison putting in a fantastic shift in for his side to make sure they not only take the points but keep another clean sheet in the process. Huge shoutout to the Romasexual Ultras who came up to support from the sidelines!
