WEEKLY NEWS FOR 20th January

Good morning all,

We had a fantastic night of football up John of Gaunt school! Hardly anything to separate the teams in last nights games!

Backstreet Girls 0 - 2 Six Offenders
The Six Offenders finally look like they're gelling under the leadership of Ben Cann as they looked like a new outfit as they bagged two well taken goals against Backstreet Girls to take home the points.

Tugas FC 0 - 2 Tellisford United
Harry Ledbury bailed his boys out as he scored an absolute wonder goal by bending one into the top corner from range to leave an impressive Tugas keeper with absolute no chance! Tugas had their chances but it was Tellisford who sealed the points late in the second half, they looked destined for another league title!

Al Bang Ur Nan 2 - 1 Trowbridge Foxes
Game of the night goes to the epic derby clash between two sides who have been with the Monday league from the very start! It was Al Bang Ur Nan captain James Richards who was the stand out performer in this one with at least seven game changing saves! This allowed his boys to be clinical and sneak away with a 2 - 1 win, Brad Daws grabbing the winning goal late in the second half. Great game of football to be involved in and credit to both teams for putting on such a spirited game!

Club Tropicana Drinks FC 2 - 1 Triple Trunk FC
Triple Trunk FC look like they'll be challenging for the title next season as they put in an impressive debut against an elite Tropicana side! Holding them 1 - 1 throughout the majority of the game! A solid defensive performance from Josh Penelhum and Lewis Brock ultimately wasn't enough as Trunks keeper was blindsided late on and the ball slipped past to gift Arron Seviour and his boys the points.
