WEEKLY NEWS FOR 29th MARCH

Good afternoon everyone,

It was fantastic to see you all again last night and unsurprisingly we had a great evening of football with some super close contests as usual!

Backstreet Girls 2 - 3 Madrid 2019
The first game back after what feels like forever was a close contest as expected with Ben Bulis showing his usual form and pace as he bagged 2 for Backstreet Girls! Ultimately it wouldnt be enough has the Blackmore brothers were on fire! Adam Meakin rightly awarded the man of the match for Madrid as his performance enabled Corey Blackmore to bag a brace and Hakan Blackmore seal the win with a thrid goal! Cracking game to get us back underway!

Reus Crispies 1 - 7 Club Tropicana Drinks FC
James Richards and his Reus Crispies Boys had a baptism of fire on their return as they took on league leaders and champions elect Club Tropicana Drinks FC. Aaron Seviour in deadly form as always bagging himself 4 goals, well supported by Matt Morris who contributed a brace in a convincing 7 - 1 win! Can anyone break Tropicana's streak?

Tugas FC 0 - 1 Romasexuals
Jake Musto again proved his worth to the Romasexuals as it was his strike that enabled them to squeeze past a determined Tugas FC. This is at least the third time this season that they have earned a 1 - 0 victory thanks to the finishing of Jake! Could they be title contenders next season?!? Dan Ellison providing solid foundations in defence to provide his team with another shut out.

The Trowbridge Foxes 0 - 1 Fleet Squad FC
Game of the evening goes to the epic clash between local rivals The Trowbridge Foxes & new comers to our Monday league Fleet Squad FC! In a game that was end to end it was a story of two outstanding goalkeeping performances as both Ali Brewer (Foxes) & Ovidiu Popa (Fleet) made numerous outstanding saves! However it was a superb finish in the middle of the second half by Dan Jones that saw Fleet Squad crown their debut in the Monday League with a vital win! Can they build and go on from this?

Triple Trunk FC 1 - 0 Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels
The final game of the evening saw another close run game which was another display of goalkeeping brilliant from Bailey Cooper (Trunk) & Captain Kevin Fitzsimons (Skrtels). Ultimately it was the brilliance of Josh Shepherd and his new haircut that proved the difference as he skillfully carved his way through the Skrtel defence which forced multiple fouls resulting in a pen which would decide the game in Triple Trunk's favour! Great game of football to watch!
