WEEKLY NEWS FOR 09th AUGUST

Good morning everyone,

So our new season is underway at John of Gaunt school in Trowbridge and what a season it looks like its going to be! Both divisions look super competitive.

Premier League
Last seasons division 1 champions Tinchy Sneijder started off life in our Premier Division with a solid performance and a 2 - 1 win over Bring Back Lloyds. Gary Collins bagging the all important winner. First game of the season saw last seasons top two go head to head in what is shaping up to be a brilliant rivalry, FC Fusion eventually held Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps to a 2 - 2 draw. Great game of football to watch. New boys Bayer Alwayslusen got off to a great start in their first game and look like being contenders for the title with a  great performance. Beneteke Fried Chicken continue their brilliant form from last season with a comprehensive 4 - 1 win over Shunt Gunk Utd. Trow utd couldnt make their fixture due to 11 a side commitments so thank you to Steve Cade and his Fossil FC team who stood in and gave The Freshford Rejects a competitive game.

Division 1
Class on Grass got their new season underway with a great 3 - 2 win over McDons, both teams had multiple chances in a highly competitive game but Nathan Conradi proved the difference between the two sides with a man of the match performance. New boys Chuckle Vision FC look like a force to be reckoned with in Division 1 putting in a convincing performance to see off premier league outfit Tinchy Sneijder who filled in for Expected Toulouse. 6 Offenders are looking to instantly bounce back from relegation with a 1 - 0 win over Scoring Like Sonogo, both teams played brilliantly and the result could have gone either way, just showing how closely all our teams are matched! Performance of the night goes to White Horse who put in a deadly performance agaisnt Fossil FC banging in 4 goals on the night. Magpies FC got off to a difficult start agaisnt an on form Ivory Toast, captain Ben Fielding netting the pick of the goals in a 5 - 1 win, great to see such dedicated and enthusiastic support from the sidelines throughout!
