WEEKLY NEWS FOR 10th MAY
Good morning everyone,
Thank you all for yet another great night of football up John of Gaunt school, some
great football on display from all the teams involved.
Premier League
Shunt Gunk bagged their first win of the season with a convincing 9 – 2 against
an out of form 6 Offenders with Gary Turk the outstanding performer on the
night. Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps continue their march towards another title
with a 5 – 1 win over White Horse, Jason Rose given man of the match in this
one. Trow Utd keep pressure on the top two after recording a 3 – 1 over Bring
Back Lloyds FC with Nathan Conradi putting in a brilliant shift for the
victors. Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels edged out FC Fusion in a brilliant game
which ended 3 – 1. Bancoloana retain top spot after a hard fought 2 – 1 victory
over ABCDE FC with Ryan Faggetter getting MVP. The top two are now only separated
on goal difference.
Division 1
Dixie Normous FC continue their
push for promotion with a 3 – 2 victory over Ivory Toast, Daniel Arberry
awarded man of the match here. Fossil FC got back to winning ways with a solid
2 – 0 win over McDons FC. Game of the night goes to Expected Toulouse vs
Scoring Like Sonogo which saw both teams play out a 1 – 1 draw with Sonogo
captain Rob Clark bagging one for his team! Tom Wilks was awarded the MVP for a
brilliant performance. The top two in this division clashed in a brilliantly
contested game which saw Tinchy Sneijder run out 2 – 0 winners with Storm Brand
putting in an epic shift for his team. Class on Grass kept the pressure on the
top two as they chase promotion with a 6 – 1 victory over an improving Crips
FC. Kevin Deadman bagging a hat-trick for the winners. Huge shout out to Crips
captain Lindel Gilling for leading from the front and putting in a great
performance for his team and nearly bagging the goal of the century at the end!
Other News
Our brand-new Tuesday league starts next week (15th May) so feel
free to come up and watch. Good luck to everyone involved.
Congratulations to Kian Marklew from The Freshford Rejects who won Goal of the
Month (April) in our National Competition and will receive a UHLsport football
for his efforts!
