WEEKLY NEWS FOR 16th AUGUST

Good morning everyone, 

Both divisions are looking super competitive this season, multiple teams look like they are in the running for each division title!  

Premier League
Ben Deadman and his Tinchy Sneijder boys got the evening off to a great start with a solid display against a tough Freshford Rejects. The game was end to end but it was the clinical finishing from Tinchy Sneijder and an MVP performance from Micheal Philona which proved the difference with them running out 3 - 0 winners. The reigning champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps put on an impressive display against an under strength Shunt Gunk Utd bagging 10 goals! However competition winner Jack Bush couldn't keep his clean sheet with the final score being 10 - 1. Myles Woodward continued his form from last season with a man of the match perfromance for FC Fusion who keep pace with the top three after a brilliant 8 - 3 win over Bring Back Lloyds FC, great game of football to watch with multiple chances at both ends! Largentina couldn't make their kick off and will be starting with us on 6th September so thank you to everyone who filled in for this game and the points game at the end of the evening to give both Bayer Alwayslosen and Beneteke Fried Chicken competitive games! Both teams look like strong contenders for the title.

Division 1
White Horse continue their winning run after getting relegated last season with a hard fought 1 - 0 win over Ivory Toast. Captain Rob Clarke led from the front for his team Scoring like Sonogo with a thunderous strike sealing a 1 - 0 win over Class on Grass. A superb performance form both sets of defence saw Fossil FC & Expected Toulouse play out a 0 - 0 draw with Isaac Jacob putting in an excellent shift for the away side. Chuckle Vision put in an epic performance to take control of the division against an out of sorts 6 Offenders, the final score running up to 8 - 0. The game of the night goes to the game between McDons FC & Magpies FC who played out a fast paced 4 - 4 draw, credit to both teams for putting on such a great game!

With our constant improvement to our leagues happening all the time we are always looking for fresh ideas to make playing football even more enjoyable so please keep the feedback coming!

Congratulations and thank you to Rob Clarke (Scoring like Sonogo) & Tom Perry (Bring Back Lloyds) who won the Fair play award for their respective divisions last season and in turn earned themselves (& their teams) an 18 pack of Lager/Cider! Enjoy!

Please remember that the full match fee has to be paid in full to the match night supervisor before kick off! It is the captains responsibility to organise this. If teams continue to pay short then they can have points deducted or even be kicked out of the league.
