WEEKLY NEWS FOR 26th APRIL
Good morning everyone,
Another great night of football! All teams in attendance as expected and some
great games to watch.
Premier League
Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels started the evening off with a convincing 5 –
0 win against 6 Offenders with Will Stanton putting in a solid performance for
the Victors. Bancoloana suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands
of reigning champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps, Tom Parr proving earning man
of the match in this one. FC Fusion keep the pressure on the top of the table
with a well-earned 4 – 2 win over Wreckhead Rovers, Harry Ledbury awarded MVP
but keep an eye out for Myles Woodward’s attempted overhead kick… ABCDE FC leap
frogged Bring Back Lloyds FC with a hard fought 4 – 1 win with David Cook
putting in an outstanding shift! Result of the night goes to Trow Utd and their
stand in captain Andy Dyer who now move to top of the table with a devastating
9 – 0 win against Shunt Gunk Utd, Tom Blackman showing his class throughout.
Division 1
Class on Grass got us underway with
a 1 – 0 win over Expected Toulouse, Corey Tallentire putting in another
brilliant defence display to earn himself MVP. Ivory Toast got themselves back
to winning ways with a 4 – 1 win over Scoring like Sanogo with Ben Fielding
getting man of the match. Tinchy Sneijder hold on to top spot with a 7 – 2 win
over Fossil FC with Andy Mulligan the outstanding performer in this one. McDons
lost ground on the top two after playing out a 2 – 2 stalemate against Dixie
Normous FC. The final game of the evening saw The Freshford Rejects keep pace
at the top of the league with a comprehensive 9 – 0 victory over Crips Outlaws
FC, Nathan Snelling putting in a captain’s performance and earning himself man
of the match.
Other News
We would just like to welcome Thomas Killigrew and his team “The Casuals” to
our brand-new Tuesday league! I am just waiting for confirmation from the venue
that we can start Tuesday and I will publish the fixtures!
Keep an eye out in May as we will be running a competition which anyone can
enter as well as some give-aways for all our brilliant captains!
