WEEKLY NEWS FOR 4th JANUARY

Good morning everyone and happy New Year! Was great to see everyone last night and thank you all for an excellent standard of football being played across the leagues!

Premier League
Team apetito keep up their great start to the season with a hard fought 3 - 2 win over Exeter Gently with Ben Julian putting in outstanding performance of the night. Last seasons Champions stay close on Team apetito's heels with a 3 - 0 victory over FC Fusion. Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels leapfrog Exeter Gently with a brilliant 3 - 0 win over ABCDE FC who drop into the relegation zone after the defeat. Ballers FC fall to a 9 - 3 loss against Bancoloana.

Division 1
To start the evening off Class on Grass beat an offsorts Ivory Toast 2 - 0. Bring back Lloyds stay top of the table after holding Wreckhead Rovers to a 1 - 1 in what some were saying could be the game of the season already! Brilliant performance from both teams. Crips FC manage to record their first victory after a closely fought 5 - 4 win over Shark Monkeys. In the last game of the evening McDons FC beat 6 Offenders 4 - 1 in a highly competitive game.

Just a few notes before next week;
- Can you please make sure you bring a full team for your games. If you are struggling for a player or two, please speak to the match night supervisor who will find a suitable player to help you out. You can not use players from different leagues.

- If you drive to the venue to play can you all make sure you park in the designated car park.

- We had a bizarre incident in one of the games last night where a stray ball rolled on to the pitch which provided a deflection that resulted in a goal (Darren Bent vs Liverpool) Although by Premier League standards the game should have been stopped to remove the ball. I'm afraid it is simply not possible to enforce this on 6 a side games, however we do ask all players warming up to keep all balls under control as not to interfere with the games playing. If disruption continues to happen then all players will be asked to remain behind the fences until their games kick off.

As always if you need anything you can all contact me on;
