Good morning everyone,
So, England are out of the World Cup... but we
still had a brilliant evening of football at John of Gaunt School in
Trowbridge! Apologies to the teams whose opponents couldn't make it, I will
speak to the captains to confirm their attendance next week!
Premier League
6 Offenders couldn’t make their fixture this evening so thank you to Brad Daw’s
and his Class on Grass boys who turned up early to give a new look Shunt Gunk Utd
a competitive game! Reigning champions Borussia Munchenvadgeflaps all but wrap
up yet another league title with a solid 3 – 0 win against White Horse. Lee
Harris the man of the match in this one. Bring Back Lloyds played a cross over
division friendly against Scoring like Sonogo in what looked like an incredibly
good spirit and competitive game! Thank you to both sides for being
understanding and making the best of a difficult situation! FC Fusion
capitalised on the results this week to jump up into second place and the all-important
prize draw slot with a 7 – 3 win over Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels. Ben Palmer
putting in a brilliant performance for his side. The final game of the evening
saw a fantastic game between ABCDE FC and Bancoloana which finised 2 – 1 to the
away side but saw ABCDE FC’s captain Isaac Garg win yet another MVP award which
takes him to the top of the player of the season table!
Division 1
A new look Ivory Toast got the evening under way with a 4 – 0 win over Dixie
Normous which sees them hold on to a respectable third place for at least
another week. A very heated second game saw McDons FC go up against Fossil FC, which
more cards being handed out than goals scored but Fossil FC snatched the winner
even after being reduced to 5 men! Please remember that violence and abuse will
not be tolerated and you will be banned from playing. We are here to provide a
competitive and enjoyable league. A top of the table clash saw Tinchy Sneijder
taking on The Freshford Rejects in which both teams displayed some brilliant football,
The Freshford Rejects ran out 2 – 1 winners with their goalkeeper Jaden Jackson
putting in an outstanding performance to give his team the win! Class on Grass
rounded out the night with a solid 6 – 0 win over Crips Outaws FC which saw
Kevin Deadman bag a brace but Charlie Stockly from Crips take Man of match for
an outstanding performance even though he was on the losing side.
