Louth 6-a-side Wednesday League: Weekly Recap
The Pavillion played host to some great fixtures in the Louth 6-a-side Wednesday football league.
In the Premier League, the top two teams Louth Lads and For Evra Young went head-to-head. Both teams defended well in a cagey affair, and neither could break down the other as they played out a 0-0 stalemate. The two sides are now level on points, but For Evra Young are just two goals behind the top spot.
Beer and Boca Seniors both enjoyed a nice friendly against each other and got handed 5-0 walkover wins as their opponents were unavailable. Beer also played a friendly against Division 1 side Cesc Offenders.
However, in their official match, Cesc Offenders fell to a 0-4 defeat at the hands of promotion favourites Only Put Matip In, with the latter pulling two points clear on the table. Bolas Empoiradas earned a crucial 4-2 win in a great match against We Only Win If You Concede to climb into the promotion spots.
Dusty Ballers earned two vital points with a 3-1 victory against Tekkerslovakia, climbing over the latter and out of the bottom two.
