Louth Wednesday 6-a-side: Intense Battles!
The Louth Wednesday 6-a-side league witnessed some incredible action this week, with some very closely-matched games and lots of goals across both divisions. Before heading into the final round of games this season at the Pavillion, let's take a look at this week's action.
The Premier League had already been decided last week, as Louth Saint Germain had sealed the title. However, that did not stop the champions from giving it their all, winning a titanic fight against Only Put Matip In 5-4, as the latter pushed them to the limit.
In the process, Only Put Matip In have dropped to the relegation zone and will have to win their next game while hoping for other results to go their way. For Evra Young climbed to safety by beating Beer 3-1, as Puyol Pants Down sealed second place with a 6-2 win over MLC.
In Division 1, Cesc Offenders' unavailability meant they will have to make sure they don't lose on the final matchday to win the division, although promotion is nailed on. Brown Cow have also sealed promotion, and got past Gantas Allardyce in a heated affair, winning 5-4 to keep their title hopes alive. Bendtner Over moved to third place with a solid 6-2 win over 6 Guys 1 Cup.
