In the penultimate week of the season, the Louth Wednesday 6-a-side league saw some crucial results.

The Premier League featured a telling top-of-the-table clash between Louth Lads and Only Put Matip In, where the former cruised to a stunning 8-2 win to ensure that there was no stopping them from winning the title even by a miracle. They have officially defended their championship after another brilliant season. 

For Evra Young held Cesc Offenders to a 2-2 draw, but are still in grave danger of relegation, as Manby FC beat Beer 3-0, with the latter's drop already sealed. 

In Division 1, matters are a lot more competitive. The top two in Here For A Laugh and MLC have already secured promotion, and sit exactly level on points heading into the final week of the season, after wins over Tekkerslovakia and Pathetico Madrid.

Here For A Laugh have a vastly superior goal difference, but both sides will be hoping the other drops points, while they win. Elsewhere, 6 Guys 1 Cup turned in a super display with a 7-1 win over Murder On Zidanes Floor.
