It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some well competed games played. The only exception to this was Boomerang Wanderers who failed to attend. and have subsequently been removed from the league.
We welcome new team Ball Booze and Birds to the league, and wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Sunday 18th May.
In the Premier League division, the match between Paralympiakos and 6 Men 1 Cup was a thrilling spectacle that ended in a 4-2 victory for 6 Men 1 Cup. Meanwhile, Vivid FC emerged victorious in a close-fought encounter against Mother Munchers, finishing with a scoreline of 2-1. Kneel In The Bath Utd were the dominant force in their match against Acca For Spaca, finishing with a decisive 4-0 scoreline. The top scorer in the Premier League division was Jal from Kneel in the bath Utd, who demonstrated exceptional skill, netting a total of 2 goals.
In Division 1, League Of Nations and Raami Fc clashed in an exciting match that ended in a 2-2 draw. The face-off between Isnt It FC and Charv was an equally thrilling affair, ending with a balanced 3-3 scoreline. In this division, Ethan from Charv showcased his goal scoring prowess, netting a total of 3 goals to emerge as the division's top scorer.
