Sunday 15th January - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night and four closely competed games played across the division.

Leaders Deportivo De La Zouch look to be in an unassailable lead after week 8's action, they were however pushed all the way by Budweiser FC who dug in, but eventually the leaders ran out 5-4 winners in an end to end encounter.

Boom Xhakalaka moved up to second place after they triumphed 4-2 in another entertaining matchup which they eventually beat Corona Rovers.

Swadlincote Rovers moved up a place to fifth after beating Paralympiakos 2-1 in a well competed game, whilst Lawnmower FC shared a point apiece with Maradona Kebabs in a 1-1 draw.
