Sunday 16th April - Swadlincote Round-Up

Welcome to the match round-up for the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league held at The Pingle Academy on the state of the art 3G surface. All teams across the division attended for some excellent matches. Let's take a closer look at the results:

Swad's Unfittest 4-0 Corona Rovers:

In the first match of the day, Swad's Unfittest showed their dominance with a 4-0 win over Corona Rovers. The result was the sixth clean sheet in a row for the winners, who have been in exceptional form of late. Swad's Unfittest dominated from the start, with their attacking prowess too much for Corona Rovers to handle. Their clinical finishing and solid defense ensured a comfortable victory and yet another clean sheet.

Budweiser FC 3-2 Underdogs:

The match between Budweiser FC and Underdogs was a closely fought affair, with both teams battling hard for the win. Budweiser FC took the initiative though and saw off their opponents in an end to end encounter.

Deportivo De La Zouch 3-3 Paralympiakos:

The match between Deportivo De La Zouch and Paralympiakos was a thrilling encounter, with both teams putting on an excellent display of attacking football. The match was evenly poised throughout, with both teams trading blows and never allowing the other to take a decisive lead. The match ended in a 3-3 draw, with both teams earning a well-deserved point.

Lawnmower FC 0-0 Athletico De Swad:

The final match of the day saw Lawnmower FC take on Athletico De Swad in a tight encounter. Despite both teams having their chances, neither side could break the deadlock and the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Lawnmower FC's defense was resolute throughout the match, denying Athletico De Swad any clear-cut chances. In the end, both teams had to settle for a point apiece.
