Sunday 1st May - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week on Bank Holiday Weekend, with some entertaining matches played across the division, the only disappointment being Swad Rams failure to attend but they return to action on Sunday 8th May.

Netsix and Chill got back to winning ways after their shock defeat last week, as they were convincing 7-0 winners over Perfect Peaches, to keep their one point lead at the top of the table.  Budweiser FC were also victorious in their game against Pique Blinders to move up to third position, as they won a nine goal thriller against Pique Blinders by 5 goals to 4.

Xavi Dodgers remain in fifth place and were 2-0 winners against 5 and Drive this week in a disciplined performance, whilst new boys MFS FC got their second 8-0 win in a row as they made short work of Show Me Da Mane.  Completing the action was Gavatasaray Reserves and Deportivo De La Zouch who could not be separated and shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and look forward to seeing all in attendance for game week 13 with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
