Sunday 22nd January - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week with all 8 teams in attendance for their matches and some well competed games played.

Leaders Deportivo De La Zouch were held to a goalless draw and shut out for the first time this campaign by a dogged Maradona Kebab who put in a well drilled performance to get a point off the champions.  That result enabled second placed Boom Xhakalaka to move within three points of the summit as they ran out 4-2 winners over Paralympiakos.

Elsewhere Budweiser FC stay third after an impressive 5-0 win against Corona Rovers, whilst Lawnmower FC continue their recent improvement as they were 3-2 winners against Swadlincote Rovers.

We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league and look forward to seeing all in attendance for game week 10 with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
