Sunday 23rd April - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a Sunday full of action and excitement at The Pingle Academy, where all teams attended as scheduled for another round of the Swadlincote 6 a side league on the state of the art 3G surface.

Athletico de Swad faced The Underdogs in a closely contested match. The Underdogs could have scored more than just one goal, but the goalkeeper for Athletico de Swad helped his team a lot, making some fantastic saves. Despite their best efforts, Athletico de Swad couldn't find the back of the net, and The Underdogs came out on top with a 1-0 win.

In the next game, Corona Rovers faced Paralympiakos, and it was the big surprise of the evening. Despite Paralympiakos being all over Corona for 85% of the game, Corona managed to take their chances and secure a 3-2 victory. Brandon, the goalkeeper for Corona, was the hero of the match, making some fantastic saves. The game was full of twists and turns, with Corona taking the lead twice, only for Paralympiakos to draw level. However, Corona managed to score the decisive third goal to wrap up the game.

The top game of the evening was between Budweiser FC and Swads Unfittest, the top two teams. It was a fast and entertaining game, with both sides giving it their all. Budweiser FC came out on top with a 2-0 victory. The new player, Alex, scored the first goal, and the second was a penalty scored by Ben. The game was a high-energy affair, as expected by two good teams.

Deportivo de la Zouch faced Lawnmower FC, and it was a one-sided affair, with Deportivo de la Zouch dominating the game and winning 12-0. It was a great performance by Deportivo de la Zouch, who showed their superiority over their opponents.
